The public defence of Mr Igor Stępień’s PhD thesis, entitled “Methods for the Quality Assessment of Digital Images Using Neural Networks,” took place on 14 January 2026. The Discipline Council for Technical Informatics and Telecommunications subsequently resolved, on 28 January 2026, to confer upon him the degree of Doctor of Engineering and Technical Sciences. The thesis was supervised by Dr hab. Eng. Mariusz Oszust, Professor at the Rzeszów University of Technology, and examined by Professor Krzysztof Okarma, Dr hab. Eng. Michał Podpora (University of Opole), and Professor Marcin Woźniak.
